2021 GMC ACADIA Air Bags Problems

I was traveling in my 2021 gmc Acadia in which I have had numerous issues with is the almost 4 years I have owned it. The back up camera 2 weeks after purchase it went out in June of 2021. After that The vehicle In October of 2021 I get in the vehicle on rainy day. Infotainment systems reads error with the SD card that Issue progressed I called dealer finally I get service appointment after strike and my vehicle sits at Roger’s Pontiac GMC 2660 Michigan Ave Chicago IL 60616 for 10 hours now I placed thread around the crowl and by knob. No matter what speed I am driving at or whether or not there is a passenger my service safety restraint system light comes on randomly and shuts off randomly. I called the dealership and they brushed it off saying it just means the airbag wont deploy if I were to get into an accident. Great thanks that makes me feel real safe! I see several people complaining about this as well and think it might be time to look into what the problem is and do a recall.

Airbag light on dash comes on solid. Dealership had vehicle for 3 days and repair made to seat belt tensioner, days later, airbag light returns on dash. Other GM vehicles were recalled for airbag problems but maybe should include the Acadia.

Service safety restraint system notice comes on constantly and disappears at random times.

The vehicle was traveling at a very low speed in a parking lot and impacted a light pole. All front airbags deployed and the drivers steering wheel airbag deployed severely breaking the drivers arm, causing shoulder injuries, and neck injuries. The occupant would have been completely fine had the airbags not deployed.

October 2021 warning light service service seat restraint system. Schumacher Lake Park FL replaced SIR module. Mileage 3741 Took 2 weeks to repair. October 2022 Warning light service seat restraint system. Mileage 7180. Vehicle at Starling GMC Stuart FL for 2 weeks effective this coming week - Nov. 7. Airbag module issue again.

The contact owns a 2021 GMC Acadia. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle started making an abnormal dinging sound. The contact stated service restraint system warning message was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing the SDM module replaced. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V702000 (Air Bags) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

WE BOUGHT OUR CAR ON 11/7/2020 ,2 DAYS AFTER STARTING THE MESSAGES APPEAR ON THE SCREEN (SERVICE SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM) CAR AND ON MY PHONE, THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN WHEN IN MOTION, ON A CITY OR HIGHWAY DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU'RE DRIVING. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT COULD CAUSE THE PROBLEM CAUSE ONLY HAD 2 MILES WHEN TOOK IT OUT FROM THE DEALER. I FEEL THAT IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. ALSO THE PASSENGER SEAT DOESN'T MOVE TO BE ADJUSTED. WENT TO THE DEALER A WEEK AGO BUT STILL WAITING FOR CALL BACK TO MADE THE REPAIR.
