Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Forest River Salem, Wildcat Maxx, Wildwood, Vibe, and Rainier recreational trailers. The break-away safety switch may not have been wired to a constant power source, and, as a result, the switch may be inadvertently disconnected from the trailer house battery causing the brakes to not engage if the trailer detaches from...
Consequence: If the trailer brakes cannot engage if the trailer detaches from tow vehicle, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Vibe, and 2016-2018 Rainier recreational trailers. The liquid propane (LP) line may have insufficient clearance above the axle shackle.
Consequence: Without adequate clearance, the LP line may be damaged, resulting in a propane leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE WIRES FROM THE AXLE WERE WRAPPED AROUND THE TIRE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STEER OFF THE ROAD AND STOP THE VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FOREST RIVER VIBE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE DRIVER NOTICED THROUGH THE SIDE MIRROR A WHEEL ROLLING NEXT TO THE RV. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL HAD DISLODGED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SERVICE CENTER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ALL SIX LUG NUT STUDS THAT SECURED THE REAR WHEEL HAD FRACTURED, CAUSING THE WHEEL TO DISLODGE FROM THE RV. THE RV WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (LEO'S VACATION CENTER, 729 STATE ROUTE 3 N, GAMBRILLS, MD) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
