Component: Interior trim – driver-side sofa/dinette slide Georgetown 2024 5 Series 36B5 Complaint Description: The driver-side sofa/dinette slide trim in my 2024 Georgetown 5 Series 36B5 has detached and fallen into the coach interior on two separate occasions, creating a serious safety hazard. The first incident occurred while the vehicle was stationary. The trim fell inside the coach and narrowly missed my two-year-old child. This could have resulted in serious injury. The unit was repaired by Camping World under warranty. The second incident occurred while the vehicle was in motion. The same trim detached again, this time breaking through the screen door across from it in the living area, narrowly missing my head as passenger. This caused loud noise, panic, and a major distraction to the driver. It frightened our dog and created a near-crash situation. As the front passenger, I attempted to secure the falling trim to prevent it from striking our child passengers and nearly cut my hand on the broken material in the process. This is a repeat failure of the same component after repair, indicating a potential design, installation, or manufacturing defect. An interior component becoming a projectile while driving presents a serious safety risk to occupants. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed as a potential vehicle safety defect affecting this model. Please also note that Camping World is working with Ford to fix a clerical error on this model which is a 2024 NOT a 2023. I have reported these issues to both Forest River and Camping World. Currently awaiting resolution.

At 60mph, the "Service Advancetrac" warning message comes on, along with the ABS and Traction Control warning lights. Cruise control is then inoperable as is Hill Start Assist. The problem persists even after extended periods of the vehicle being shut off, and immediately returns when 60mph is achieved. Multiple attempts to repair at the Ford dealership have failed, and the Ford Commercial Truck Center said this problem may take a few months to remedy if at all should they take it in for more service. Ford Motorhome service says this is a unique issue, yet the Motorhome message boards are full of threads on this and similar issues.
