THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THESE LAMPS DO NOT CONTAIN THE REQUIRED AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS.

Consequence: DECREASED LIGHTING VISIBILITY MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Defect: CERTAIN CK MOTORSPORTS COMBINATION HEADLIGHTS, CLEAR CORNER, BUMPER, AND SIDE MARKER LIGHTS SOLD AS REPLACEMENT LAMPS FOR USE ON THE PASSENGER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Consequence: WITHOUT THE AMBER REFLECTORS, THE VEHICLE WILL BE POORLY ILLUMINATED, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Defect: WATER CAN ENTER THE DOOR LATCH RELEASE CABLE. IF THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES, THE WATER IN THE DOOR LATCH RELEASE CABLE CAN FREEZE AND CAUSE THE LATCH MECHANISM TO MALFUNCTION.

Consequence: THE MALFUNCTION OF THE DOOR LATCH RELEASE CAN RESULT INTHREE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS: 1) THE DOOR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE RELATCHED, 2) THEINSIDE DOOR HANDLE CAN BECOME INOPERATIVE, AND 3) THE DOOR COULD APPEAR TO BELATCHED WHEN IT IS NOT, ALLOWING THE DOOR TO OPEN UNEXPECTEDLY IF IT IS JARRED,AND INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE ADJACENT SEAT OCCUPANT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT INSTALLED A NEW CONTINENTAL CONTITECH SERPENTINE BELT IN THE VEHICLE FROM AUTO ZONE. THE BELT FAILED AND TORE INTO PIECES AFTER 65 MILES OF DRIVING, AND THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CHECKED TO CONFIRM THAT THE PART WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY BY THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME SAFELY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE, VIN, PART NUMBER, AND SERIAL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN.

1992 F150 XLT LARIAT 302. DUEL TANKS. I USE THE REAR TANK AND NOT THE FRONT ONE. THIS WEEKEND MY TRUCK IS RUNNING GAS WILL POUR OUT OF THE FRONT TANK AT THE GAS CAP. I TOOK BOTH CAPS OFF SO THERE WAS NO PRESSURE BUILD UP AND IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE THE GAS STILL POURED OUT THE FRONT TANK REALLY BAD. WHEN YOU'RE ON THE HIGHWAY IT ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF. THEN WHEN YOU PARK IT GAS GUSHES OUT THE TANK AND THE VAPOR CANISTER UP UNDER THE HOOD I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FOR TWO MONTHS, IT HAD A LITTLE OVER 92,000 ORIGINAL MILES WHEN I PURCHASE IT AND NOW A LITTLE OVER 94,000..
