SAFETY- ON APRIL 30,2009 I PURCHASED A NEW 2009 FORD EDGE. ON MEMORIAL DAY, 2009, 1 MONTH AFTER IT WAS PURCHASED AND WITH APPROX. 1200 MILES ON IT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON THE NYS THRUWAY IT MADE A LOUD CLUNKING SOUND, JERKED AND WITHIN 5 SECONDS JUST SHUT OFF. VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE, IT HAD TO BE TOWED. WAS TAKEN IN FOR SERVICE, THEY FOUND NOTHING. ON OCTOBER 31, 2009, AGAIN, I WAS ON THE NYS THRUWAY, IT DID THE SAME IDENTICAL THING, MADE A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE, JERKED AND WITHIN 5 SECONDS JUST SHUT OFF. BOTH TIMES I WAS BARELY ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD. I CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK, BUT IN THE MEANTIME THIS TIME IT STARTED AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING AND THEN IT WENT OFF. AGAIN, I TOOK IT IN FOR...
