The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact smelled a fuel odor. The Mobile App indicated that the VIN was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and a software update was performed related to the recall, but the dealer confirmed that parts were still not yet available. The dealer also informed the contact that metal shavings were found in the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the muffler had failed and needed to be replaced. The engine and muffler were repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded...
Powertrain malfunctions have occurred on 12/17/24, 4/11/25 and 10/5/25. Powertrain malfunction and yes. The car would not accelerate and someone could of ran into me, I could of been killed or badly injured and same for any other occupants in the either vehicle. Yes. Yes. The messages appeared on 12/17/24, 4/11/25 and 10/5/25.
I reached out to ford due to my 2024 bronco sport overheating and running hot. During the time of that complaint I was advised that my bronco currently has a recall that the fuel tank needs to be replaced but it is currently being deemed as non safety and will only be addressed if the vehicle is in for service. I was also advised that due to this recall it is currently a part of fords customer satisfaction program. Anything fuel related should be deemed as a safety recall considering fuel is a flammable chemical. I have requested a buy back as I no longer feel safe operating the vehicle or comfortable transporting my daughter in the vehicle as it aligns too closely with the known fuel safety recall currently present on some 2021-2024 bronco sports.
Recall 25V467 can result in vehicle fire and manufacturer does not have a remedy. This is a lease and I would like to return the vehicle back because it is a safety hazard.
Vehicle is having trouble with moving, when press on gas pedal it does not really want to move. When sitting at idle vehicle shakes really bad. can hear a really bad tick when driving vehicle. noticed that when driving the vehicle has been shaking really bad. Rpms have also been shooting up high when barely going up to speed.
There is a recall for the fuel injectors that is a serious issue and can cause the engine to catch fire but there is no fix and I am afraid to drive my car.
The Powertrain of this Ford Bronco Sport (2024) with only 12,000 miles on it malfunctioned while the driver was on a major highway. No control over gears, engine power, etc. Had to pull over in heavy traffic. Fortunately there was a shoulder, or this would have been a major safety risk for the driver and other vehicles and would likely have resulted in an accident. Apparently, this malfunction is related to battery issues as well and can affect the emergency caution flashers. The vehicle was inspected by Ford after being towed to a local dealership and was told that this was part of a recall on other Ford Broncos. A few days later, was told that Ford dealership was replacing the transmission and other parts.
Auto start / stop feature stopped working after recall 24S24. Took to dealership where battery was diagnosed at 57%. Had no indication battery was failing. Recall reprogram did not resolve issue.
THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 2,500 MILES ON IT, AND IT FAILED TO GO INTO GEAR WHEN PULLING OUT ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. WHEN IT DID SLIP INTO GEAR, IT WOULD ONLY GO 10 MPH THE WHOLE WAY HOME. MULTIPLE ALERTS WERE SENT TO MY PHONE; SEE BELOW FOR SPECIFIC ALERT INFO. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A LOOSE WIRE AFTER TELLING ME THEY WOULD REPLACE THE CAR, AND OVER 60 SENSORS WENT OFF. ALERTS: SERVICE ENGINE WARNING POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION REDUCED POWER PRE-COLLISION ASSISTANCE NOT AVAILABLE
Upon attempting to start vehicle every warning indicator flashed in series across the screen and the SUV would not start nor was the vehicle lockable. Also, the rear door and access glass (where tools, safety equipment, and spare tire is located) could not be opened. The vehicle would not start and could not be placed in neutral to push the vehicle to a safe location. The manufacturer informed me a "failure to communicate" was indicated in their system. Had this occurred in an unsafe location such as on a highway or in a physically dangerous location occupants would be placed in danger from other moving vehicles and/or criminal activity. Operators of this model MUST 1.) Be able to place the vehicle in neutral when needed. 2.) Be able to manually open the rear liftgate and/or rear glass to obtain safety and repair equipment. 3.) Be able to manually lock the...
On [XXX], my 2024 Ford Bronco Sport spontaneously burst into flames while driven by my [XXX] son. Per a local bystander, there was smoke and fire observed around the undercarriage as he drove down the road. Multiple vehicles began honking while stopped at a red light. A driver alerted my son of the fire. He was able to evacuate along with his [XXX] sister. As they were fleeing to the median of an active highway, the vehicle burst into flames. After several explosions the vehicle continued to burn and melt until the fire dept extinguished the flames. Prior to spontaneous combustion, there were no symptoms of gas leaks or error messages. Nor were there any fluid leaks. There were no error messages or signs of vehicle distress even while my children were driving & engulfed in flames. If bystanders had not flagged down my son, my children may have still...
