Having heard rumors for some time of the dreaded DEF shut down while using our motorcoach, without a recall of the unit , we have to assume the coach is safe to use. Ours had been parked in the storage building for about 10 days. Yesterday I went to get it out.When I started the coach it immediately turned on the check engine warning. It threw 3 codes, SPN#3374, SPN#3031, & SPN#1761. I’m told the engine will derate first by 25%, next it debates by 40%, then finally to limp mode of 5 mile per hour. If this had happened the week before I would have had a wife and two dogs, in 95 degree weather with no engine, no air conditioning and about 250 miles from home.
