TRUCK READ 3/4 FULL AND RAN OUT OF FUEL READING 3/4 FULL AND ALMOST CAUSED A MAJOR CRASH. *AK

THIS VAN IS RATED AT APPROX. 13MPG CITY AND 18 HIGHWAY. I GET SINGLE DIGIT MPG AND ALL MY DRIVING IS HIGHWAY MILES. I TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY RAN ALL DIAGNOTICS AND CODES AND SAID THAT EVERYTHING CHECKS OUT O.K. I CONSTANTLY MONITOR MY FUEL TANK WHEN FULL AND DIVIDE BY 17,5 GALLONS(IT HAS A 35 GALLON TANK) INTO MILES ON ODOMETER AFTER RESET AND TANK FULL UP. I ONLY GET ABOUT 170 MILES PER HALF TANK. PLEASE HELP.
