WELL SOME TIMES THE WIPERS WILL NOT WORK OR DO NOT WORK PROPERLY AND THE SIGNALS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN CHOSEN IT DOES THIS MOST ALL THE TIME I CAN PRESS FORWARD ON THE SWITCH LEVER SOMETIMES AND GET IT TO WORK PROPERLY BUT SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. *TR
MY 2006 DODGE RAM TRUCK TURNS ON THE WRONG TURN SIGNAL, FOR INSTANCE IF I AM MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND I PUSH THE STALK UP, THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL TURNS ON. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND SOMETIMES MY TURN SIGNALS WORK AND SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT. I ALSO HAVE THE RELATED PROBLEM THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS. WHEN I TURN THEM ON, THEY WILL STAY ON FOR MINUTES AT A TIME ON A HIGH SPEED AND NOT TURN OFF. OTHER TIMES THEY WILL ONLY GO ONE OR TWO TIMES AND SHUT OFF COMPLETELY WHILE IT IS POURING RAIN. *TR
WHILE DRIVING TOWARDS FLAGSTAFF AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN, THE WIPERS WENT OFF. AFTER I PRESSED THE WASH CONTROL, THE WIPER FUNCTION, WASHED THE WINDOW AND WIPED IT ENOUGH TO ALLOW US TO PULL OVER. THE WIPERS CONTINUED TO WORK SPORADICALLY ALLOWING US TO CREEP TO TOWN FOR THE NIGHT. NOW, THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL AND WE ARE WAITING FOR THE REPAIR SERVICE TO OBTAIN BACK ORDERED PARTS. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS AND WE WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE AVOIDED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SURELY THIS FUNCTION IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
THE PROBLEM STARTED A FEW MONTHS AGO, BUT I THOUGHT IT HAD CORRECTED ITSELF. THE PAST FEW WEEKS IT HAS BEEN A CONSTANT PROBLEM AND WILL NOT STOP. WHEN TURNING THE WIPERS ON MIST, THEY DO NOT WORK. I HAVE TO SWITCH IT TO THE NEXT SETTING TO MAKE THEM MOVE. THE BLINKERS ARE EITHER WORKING INTERMITTENTLY OR NOT AT ALL. WHEN TURNING LEFT, THE RIGHT ONE COMES ONE, BOTH FLASH AND STOP OR IT WILL SWITCH FROM ONE TO THE OTHER. THE SAME THING HAPPENS WHEN TURNING RIGHT. TURNING ON THE BRIGHTS DOES NOT WORK EITHER. IT MAKES THE WASHER FLUID AND WIPERS WORK. *TR
THE BLEND DOOR ON MY TRUCK BROKE. THIS DOOR IS USED TO MIX OUTSIDE AIR FOR THE HVAC SYSTEM. THE DOOR PREVENTS AIR FLOW THROUGH THE VENTS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE MULTI FUNCTIONAL SWITCH, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED A SECOND TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 64,200.

2006 DODGE RAM 1500 BLOWER DOOR BROKEN CAN'T CONTROL WHERE HEAT IS DIRECTED, CANT DEFROST WINDSHIELD. *TR
THE RECIRCULATION DOOR BROKE FOR THE HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING. THIS PROBLEM CAUSES A LOW FLOW RATE BECAUSE THE DOOR BLOCKS THE FAN OPENING, WHICH LEADS TO FOGGED WINDOWS AND SNOW BUILDUP ON THE WINDSHIELD. DODGE IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAS REENGINEERING THE DOOR ASSEMBLY, BUT IS NOT FIXING VEHICLES WITH THE PROBLEM IF THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, INSTEAD THEY ARE CHARGING CUSTOMERS FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT, BUT DODGE IS NOT REPAIRING VEHICLES WITH THE PROBLEM, INSTEAD THEY ARE CHARGING CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR MISTAKE. MY TRUCK IS A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500 WITH ONLY 35,000+ MILES ON IT, BUT OUTSIDE OF DODGE'S 3 YR OR 36,000 MILE WARRANTY. PLEASE MAKE THEM RECALL THIS ISSUE. THE VEHICLE IS A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500 QUAD CAB. WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH THE WINDSHIELD BECAME FOGGED UNEXPECTEDLY AND WOOD NOT CLEAR. NO AIR WOULD EXIT THE DEFROSTER VENTS AND THE SYSTEM WAS STUCK IN THE VENT MODE. THE RESULT WAS A NEAR HIGH SPEED COLLISION AS I WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE THE HIGHWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES THIS SEASON AND THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER STATES THAT DODGE IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM INDICATING THAT THE SYSTEM WILL REQUIRE A NEW HOUSING AND HEATING DOOR. THE ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR IS BETWEEN $800 AND $1000. I HAVE SPENT $85 TO HAVE THE PROBLEM LOOKED AT AND ESTIMATED. AT THIS TIME THE VEHICLE HAS NO FLOOR HEAT, AND THE DEFROSTER WORKS ONLY INTERMITTENTLY AND COMPROMISES VISIBILITY IN CERTAIN WEATHER CONDITIONS. 1) THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE ASSEMBLY AND FLUID FROZE. THAT IN TURN SHORTED OUT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (MAIN COMPUTER) WAS TOLD FCM INTERNAL FAULT NEEDS TIPM. DO NOT HAVE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID. 2) 1-27-10 HEATER/DEFROSTER QUIT WORKING. HAD TO REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. WHEN REPLACING FOUND A BROKEN DOOR IN THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY. HAVE NOT REPLACED THE DOOR. 3) VERY BAD FRONT END VIBRATION. WAS JUST TOLD THAT BOTH BEARINGS NEED TO BE REPLACED. 4) CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODE NEED EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM VALVE. *TR

A RECALL IS DEFINITELY IN ORDER HERE FOR THE CABIN AIR BLEND DOOR BREAKING, 2006 THROUGH 2002 MODELS HAVE HAD A LARGE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS FILED AND IN 2006 HAD THE MOST FILED YET IN 2007 ZERO COMPLAINTS FILED FOR THIS PROBLEM , LET ME EXPLAIN WHY. I CONTACTED DAIMLER CHRYSLER FILED A COMPLAINT AND GOT NOWHERE, THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR BAD DESIGN, OR STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!! I WILL NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM THEM AGAIN. THE AIR BOX HAS AN OPENING WITH ONE TAB PROTRUDING OUT SO WHEN THE BLEND DOOR CLOSES IT STOPS AT THE TAB, WELL THE TAB ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO RECEIVE THE IMPACT OF THE DOOR SLAMMING IT AND BREAKS OFF THUS JAMMING CLOSED OR FALLING OFF, THE ENGINEERS AT DELMAR CHRYSLER FIGURED THIS OUT AND ENGENDERED A NEW BOX WITH TWO TABS SO IT WONT BREAK YET THE SERVICE DEPT AT...
THERE HAS BE A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT PROBABLY 100 TIMES BUT PAID NOT MUCH ATTENTION UNTIL THIS WINTER. THE TURN SIGNAL LEVEL IS ALSO USED TO TURN ON THE WIPERS ON THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM ARISES WHEN THE VEHICLE LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON, THE WIPERS ARE ON, AND THE TURN SIGNAL ARE TURNED ON. FOR NO REASON THE TURN SIGNAL FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE IS THE ONE THAT OPERATES. NORMALLY WHEN YOU ARE TURNING TO THE RIGHT THE TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT TURN ON AND THE LEFT SIDE SIGNAL TURN ON. IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE THIS PROBLEM I HAVE TO TURN THE WIPERS OFF COMPLETELY. THIS CAUSES A PROBLEM BECAUSE THIS IMPAIRS VISIBILITY AN ALSO IS GIVING OTHER DRIVERS THE WRONG SIGNALS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THIS ISSUE BUT SINCE I RESIDE IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA IT IS A REQUIREMENT...
ALL CONTROL OF DEFROSTER, HEAT AND A/C WAS LOST. FAN CONTINUED TO OPERATE WITH NO WAY TO CLEAR WINDSHIELD, HEAT OR COOL TRUCK. DODGE HAD KNOWLEDGE OF FAILURE AND UPDATE TO CORRECT. THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE FACTORY WARANTEE AND IS A SAFTY ISSUE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SEE THRU THE WINDSHIELD TO DRIVE.
