THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 216,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND APPLYING THE BRAKES WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE VIOLENTLY. A CERTIFIED MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,000.

COMPAIGN # G02 AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 07V038000 HAS RECALLED 2006 DODGE RAM PICKUP TRUCKS FOR "SUSPENSION; FRONT; WHEEL BEARING, THE SUMMARY OF THE RECALL READS "ON CERTAIN P/U TRUCKS, THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS MAY HAVE RECEIVED AN INSUFFICENT QUANTITY OOF GREASE DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS, BUT ONLY THOSE THAT WERE BUILT BETWEEN 11/7/05 AND 4/27/06, MY TRUCK WAS BUILT ON 10/1/05 (5 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE RECALL.)
