After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle would operate normally however, the failure would recur. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 180,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE ABS AND VEHICLE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BATTERY SAVER MODE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS SMOKE EMITTING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE SMOKE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
