The abs module lights came on and is not functioning properly. I contacted the dealership and the part has been on back order for years. The abs light, traction, and brake light is on simultaneously. Subsequently my wheel is locked up causing my car to not move at all and brake pedal has no pressure.
Vehicle: 2013 Dodge Charger R/T I’m reaching out because my car has been showing signs that seem to match the symptoms of the V62 recall that FCA issued for the fuel pump relay issue. I have a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T with the 5.7L HEMI engine. Lately, the car has been having trouble starting, especially after it’s been driven and sits in the heat. Sometimes it cranks but won’t turn over, and other times it randomly dies or stalls when I’m coming to a stop. It recently sat for a couple of days and then started again like nothing happened. Power train, transmission output shaft fracture could result in a loss of power, increasing the risk of a crash. if the parking brake is not applied before exiting the vehicle, the vehicle may roll away despite the transmission being placed in park. Power steering locks up, power steering fuses have blown three times in less than three months and there are thumping noises and vibrations when making turns.

RESET COMPUTER AND DRIVE ABOUT 200 MILES AND SAME NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG.
MESSAGE ON DASH INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK, PER PLACING THE SHIFTER INTO PARK POSITION AND IT WILL NOT SHUT OFF WITH THE PUSH BUTTON, UNTIL THE MESSAGE GOES AWAY, WHICH CAN TAKE PUTTING IT BACK INTO GEAR, OR PUSHING THE AUTOMATIC START BUTTON ON THE KEY FAUB OR WAITING FOR FOR THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH TO GO AWAY. LOOKED AT A FORUM THAT INDICATED THAT SOMEONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM HAD THERE VEHICLE GO INTO REVERSE WITHOUT THE PERSON PLACING IT INTO REVERSE. MANY FORUMS WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
BLUETOOTH IS NOT WORKING IN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES. NEEDS A VERY EXPENSIVE MODULE TO BE REPLACED. THIS ALONE CAN CAUSE NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS AND POSSIBLE DEATH DUE TO USING YOUR CELL PHONE NOT ON BLUETOOTH!

SO I WENT BACK HOME AND CHECKED THE VOLTAGE ON MY BATTERY THAT READ 11.8 TO 12.3. SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL OF THE ALTERNATOR. THE DEALER REPLACED IT AND SAID IT'S OK NOW. I TOOK IT HOME AND ON THE WAY HOME IT HAPPEN AGAIN AND I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND GOT IT CHECKED. AND THEY SAID THEY FOUND CORROSION...

REAR POWER SUPPLY STARTED SMOKING AFTER A CHARGING COMPONENT WAS PLUGGED IN. SMOKED FOR AWHILE AFTER REMOVING THE REAR PANEL THAT ADJUST THE HEAT SEATERS THE WIRES WAS BURNT ALL THE WAY TO THE WIRE HARNESS OF THE MIDDLE CONSOLE. DONT KNOW IF THIS FAULTY WIRING BUT IT IS A FIRE HAZARD IF NOT FIXED.THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE TIME.

HE MANAGED TO COAST INTO OUR DRIVEWAY - LUCKILY WAS HEADED HOME FROM WORK AND ONLY DOING 20MPH. NO WARNING - NO NOTHING. JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN - ENTIRE SYSTEM FAILURE. NO POWER STEERING OR ANYTHING. I PULLED OVER BUT MY CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO PARK. I TRIED TO PULL BACK OFF TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT MY CAR WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED, TRAFFICS WAS APPROACHING AND THERE IS WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD TRYING PUSHING DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL TO HURRY AND MOVE BEFORE THE COMING TRAFFICK MADE IT TO ME, IT WAS AN 18 WHEELER. I COULD HAVE BEEN DEAD TODAY DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND I'M NOT WONDERING WHY THERE IS NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT DODGE MULTIPLE TIMES FOR REIMBURSEMENT ON A FAULTY ALTERNATOR. THE PART WAS ISSUED AS A RECALL (17V-435) ON 07-10-17. SINCE THEN I HAVE MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT WITH NO SUCCESS. I'VE SPOKE WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM DODGE MULTIPLE TIMES ALL CLAIMING TO NOT HAVE RECEIVED MY DOCUMENTS. I'VE SUBMITTED THE VIA EMAIL, MAIL AND UPLOADED THEM TO THERE WEBSITE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 6 MONTHS NOW.

MY DODGE CHARGER RT 2013 VEHICLE RANDOMLY REPORTS THAT YOUR NEED TO PUSH DOWN THE CLUTCH IN ORDER TO START THE VEHICLE. IT ALSO WILL RANDOMLY CUT OFF ON YOU WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND FOR THE ALL TELL ME THAT I CAN DO ANYTHING SINCE WE CANT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WHY THE VEHICLE WILL REPORT ANYTHING ABOUT AN CLUTCH SINCE IT IS AN AUTOMATIC.
FCA RECALL T36/NHTSA 17V-435 NOTIFIED SIX (6) MONTHS AGO REGARDING ALTERNATOR DIODE THERMAL FATIGUE WHICH MAY RESULT IN ALTERNATOR FAILURE WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSING A RISK OF CRASH. ALSO, MAY DEVELOP A RESISTIVE SHORT CIRCUIT THAT CAN RESULT IN HEAT, SMOKE AND/OR FIRE ORIGINATING WITHIN THE ALTERNATOR. AS OF 01/09/2018, I FORTUNATELY HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER STATES THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I AM OF THE OPINION THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. IF THEY WAIT LONG ENOUGH, WE WILL FORGET ABOUT THIS RECALL. WOULD THE NHTSA PLEASE INTERCEDE REGARDING THIS MATTER?
WHEN AT A STOP FOR MORE THEN THREE MINUTES, CAR WILL STALL. CAR APPEARS AS IF IT IS STILL RUNNING BUT IT IS NOT. WHEN I PROCEED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH TRAFFIC, CAR WILL EITHER NOT MOVE UNTIL BEING RESTARTED, OR IF ON AN INCLINE WILL ROLL BACKWARDS.

I STARTED MY CAR BY THE FACTORY INSTALLED REMOTE STARTER AND WAS LEAVING A PARKING LOT AND I HEARD A HIGH PITCHED HUM COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE 'BATTERY SAVER ON' LIGHT WAS ON. I NOTICED THAT MY LIGHTS WERE DIMMING AS I AM DRIVING REGULARLY SO. WHILE WATING ON THE NEW ALTERNATOR TO COME IN SO THAT I CAN BE GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED SINCE APRIL 2017.
