Defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Defect: Crossroads RV is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Redwood recreational vehicles manufactured August 26, 2011, through August 14, 2013. While the vehicle is moving, shifting cargo may accidentally activate the switch used to deploy the power awning.

Consequence: The awning may unfurl unexpectedly increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Crossroads RV will notify owners, and dealers will install a cover over the switches, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2013. Owners may contact Crossroads RV by email at "[email protected]," or by phone at 1-855-226-7496.

Recall 12V050000 — SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Defect: CROSSROADS RV IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 REDWOOD RECREATIONAL VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 26, 2011, THROUGH JANUARY 18, 2012, EQUIPPED WITH A HYDRAULIC TRAILER BRAKE PUMP. THE HYDRAULIC PUMP COULD FAIL AND RESULT IN A LOSS OF BRAKING IN THE TRAILER.

Consequence: A LOSS OF BRAKING CAN LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE TRAILER INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH, SERIOUS INJURIES, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Remedy: CROSSROADS RV WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC PUMPS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 17, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CROSSROADS RV AT 1-888-226-7496.

2012 REDWOOD RW36RE TRAILER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE AWNING PROBLEMS RECALL NOTICE AND SEEKS REIMBURSEMENT. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE TURNED ON THE INTERSTATE, HE HEARD A NOISE. WHEN HE LOOKED OUT THE EXTENDED MIRRORS, HE SAW THE AWNING HAD COME OUT. THERE WAS A VERY STRONG WIND, SO BY THE TIME HE WAS ABLE TO STOP, THE BRACES HAD BENT. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO TIE THE AWNING DOWN AND MANAGED TO GET HOME. THE CONSUMER CALLED A SERVICE DEALER, WHO TOOK THE AWNING. THE SERVICE DEALER CALLED THE CONSUMER AND INFORMED HIM, THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT WILLING TO ASSIST, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY, THE AWNING COULD HAVE CO ME OUT ON ITS OWN.
