JUST IMAGINE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 25-30MPH AND YOUR HOOD FLIES UP AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD. FORTUNATELY FOR ME THE PERSON BEHIND BE WAS ALERT AND DID NOT PLOW INTO THE REAR OF ME. I PHONED THE INSURANCE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY, AND I WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE CAR TO A RECOMMENDED COLLISION CENTER WHICH REPAIRED MY CAR PRETTY QUICKLY....TOO QUICKLY I SUPPOSE BECAUSE WHEN I CALLED THE CHRYSLER, LLC OFFICE THEY SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR SAID IN ERROR THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THE EVIDENCE WAS DESTROYED. HE ESSENTIALLY SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THAT CHRYSLER COULD DO. THEY DON'T KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED BUT IT SEEMED AS IF THE LATCH WAS WORKING PERFECTLY NOW. WELL I NOW HAVE A NEW HOOD BUT THE SAME OLD LATCH. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED TO BEGIN WITH HOW DO YOU KNOW...
