I WAS LEAVING WORK WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AND MY LIFE LITERALLY FLASHED IN FRONT OF MY EYES . I ENTERED THE FREEWAY VIA THE MERGE LANE AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. WHEN I ENTERED THE FREEWAY I SLOWLY INCREASED MY SPEED TO 50 MPH. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES ON THE FREEWAY THE ENGINE MADE A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE AND SHUT OFF. AT THIS POINT I LOST ALL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, I COULD NOT STEER. MY VEHICLE SCRAPPED OFF THE JERSEY BARRIER AND I PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. I THEN PUSHED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD CAUSING ME TO SKID SIDEWAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THERE WAS A VEHICLE BEHIND ME THAT HAD TO SWERVE OUT OF THE WAY TO AVOID HITTING ME AND IN DOING SO HE COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. I CAME TO A STOP IN...
