The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the cause of the failure could not be determined; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the ignition switch had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
