TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET SONIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION KEY WOULD NOT RELEASE FROM THE SWITCH UNTIL AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE GEAR SHIFT CONSOLE HOUSING WAS CLEANED INTERNALLY. THE SHIFTER CABLE WAS ALSO CLEANED WITH A DEGREASER SOLUTION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, ONE WEEK LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000. DR
