The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the driver's side exterior split mirror failed to operate correctly and the contact was unable to see the lane to his left, nor to the rear of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed but not repaired. The contact researched and found NHTSA Campaign Number 16V700000 (Visibility) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure.
