MY GM SERVICE REQUEST NUMBERB IS:[XXX].THE AUTOMATIC GEAR SELECTOR LEVER OCCASIONALLY GOT STUCK IN PARK (P) AND TOOK A LONG DANGEROUS TIME TO GET IT WORKED LOOSE AND FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I LIVED WITH IT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, BUT IT GOT PROGRESSIVELY MUCH WORSE AND MORE DANGEROUS. I SPOKE TO OTHER CORVETTE OWNERS AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD A COMMON SAFETY PROBLEM FOR MY MODEL. I FINALLY TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THAT SOLD IT TO ME (MOUNTAIN VIEW CHEVROLET) WHO SAID THEY HAD SEEN A LOT OF THIS DEFECT AND THEY THEN CHARGED ME NEARLY $600 TO CORRECT THIS DANGEROUS DEFECT. NOT RIGHT!!!! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED FROM THE GET-GO AND FIXED PROMPTLY WITHOUT CHARGE. UNABLE TO MOVE IN TRAFFIC, GET OUT OF THE WAY OF DANGER, OR OFF OF RAILWAY TRACKS IS A POTENTIAL KILLER.
