This problem has been noted as a recall issue for this model/year vehicle but this vin number shows no recall issues. This vehicle was bought new by me and was given to our son about 3 years ago. He has taken very good care of it since he uses it to travel to work. Vehicle currently had 128,842 miles and has had no issues other than the above issue. Vehicle is available for inspection.

I BOUGHT THIS USED CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE TO COLLEGE AND WORK AND BELIEVE THAT THE STEERING AND BRAKING SHOULD ALWAYS FEEL SMOOTH FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR.I UNDERSTAND IF THE ISSUE WAS WARPED ROTORS OR WORN OUT BUSHINGS BUT THIS IS A GEAR MESH. I CAN NOT EVEN PURCHASE A NEW STEERING COLUMN FROM A PARTS STORE. THIS TELLS ME THAT CHEVROLET KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE AND WILL NOT PROVIDE A FIX. I ALSO HAVE TRIED BUYING A USED STEERING COLUMN BUT THE AUTO JUNK YARD SAID THY CAN NOT SELL THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE ON RECALL....

I WAS DRIVING HOME THIS MORNING AND A DEER JUMPED OUT IN FRONT OF ME. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND THE ENGINE SHUTOFF. MAKING THE POWER BRAKES AND STEERING SHUTOFF.
