TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET CLASSIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF INDEPENDENTLY AND STOPPED ABRUPTLY. NO WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE KEY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
