TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET AVEO. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
12/30/07I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK,THE BATTERY LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT STAYED ON WHILE DRIVING, THEN THE CAR SUDDENLY STARTED TO LOSE POWER,ALL OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WENT OFF,THE RADIO AND HEATER WENT OFF,THE HEADLIGHTS DIMMED. I WENT INTO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY, THEY HAD IT UNTIL THE 1/3/08"COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM".WE PICKED UP THE CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AND DROVE IT HOME. THAT NIGHT,THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM STARTED AGAIN, BUT THE CAR DIED AND WOULD NOT START. WE HAD IT TOWED. THEY SAID THAT IT STARTED FOR THEM THE NEXT DAY, AND THEY "COULD NOT DUPLICATE" THE PROBLEM, IT HAD A LOW BATTERY, THEY CHARGED THE BATTERY. ON THE 17TH THE CAR HAD THE LOW BATTERY LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT ON AGAIN WHILE DRIVING, SO WE WERE DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT ON THE WAY, IT HAD THE SAME "SYMPTOMS" AND DIED,IT WAS TOWED. THEY SAID"COULD NOT DUPLICATE...
