DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRAVELING VARIOUS SPEEDS OR WHILE STATIONARY, THE EXTERIOR SIDE VIEW MIRRORS AND FRONT ROOF PILLARS OBSTRUCTED THE VIEW AND CREATED BLIND SPOTS TO THE FRONT SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WERE OTHER MODELS WHICH HAD THE SIDE MIRRORS ATTACHED TO THE DOOR, INSTEAD OF THE WINDOW PILLAR. THE CONTACT HAD NOTICED MANY NEWER MODEL VEHICLES, SUCH AS THE NISSAN VERSA AND MINI COOPER BEING MANUFACTURED THIS WAY. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. UPDATED 12/18/06. *JB
THE VEHICLE STALLED INTERMITTENTLY. THE BRAKES FAILED, AND THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN TWO FRONT END COLLISIONS. *AK THERE WAS A FUNNY NOISE IN THE ENGINE AT IDLE SPEED. THE ENGINE WOULD LOSE POWER AND STALL. THE SERVICE MANAGER SUGGESTED THAT THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE 2000-2004 MODEL WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. THE FRONT BRAKE LININGS WERE WORN, THE DASH PAD WAS PEELING AT THE LEADING EDGE NEAR THE DEFROST EDGE NEAR THE DEFROST GRILLE DUE TO DELAMINATION AND THE COIN HOLDER HOUSING HAD COME APART AND SPLIT AT THE SEAM. *SC THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR WAS REPLACED. *JB
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A JERK. *JB
