TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED, THE FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRES WOULD NOT MAINTAIN AIR. AFTER AIR WAS ADDED TO BOTH TIRES, THEY WOULD BECOME FLAT. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUT AIR IN THE TIRES DAILY. THE CONTACT HAD NEW TIRES INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RIMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WISH TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING THE FLAKING OF THE CHROME RIMS ON OUR 2007 BUICK LUCERNE CXL. I THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE TIRE PRESSURE DROPS. WHEN I PURCHASED THE TIRES IN MAY, 2013, AT FLYNN TIRE IN PITTSBURGH, IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT THE CHROME CLAD FINISH WAS COMING OFF THE RIMS, AND THEY EVEN HAD TROUBLE BALANCING THE NEW TIRES. MY TIRE PRESSURE DROPS SO I HAVE TO PUT AIR IN THE TIRES EVERY 3 TO 4 DAYS. WE HAVE ONLY OWNED THE CAR SINCE JANUARY, 2012. IT WAS PURCHASED AT COLUSSEY CHEVROLET IN BRIDGEVILLE. IT WAS A CERTIFIED VEHICLE SO I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE CHECKED IT OUT AND REALIZED THE WHEELS WERE STARTING TO FLAKE. I SPOKE TO GM REP.
