TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 BUICK LESABRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURERS RECALL DUE TO THE YEAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. THE 95 BUICK LESABRE, I HAVE OWNED THREE OF THEM NOW, AND THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME I'VE REPLACE THE IGNITION CYLINDER AND KEYS DUE TO A SECURITY SYSTEM PROBLEM. THIS IS ABOUT A 500.00 PROBLEM EVERY TIME! FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. I'M A SINGLE FATHER AND DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BE SHELLING OUT WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS. FROM WHAT THE REPAIR FACILITY SAID THIS COULD BE FIXED WITH A LINKABLE FUSE, SO THAT FUSE WOULD GO INSTEAD OF THE IGNITION WIRES BURNING UP. THIS REALLY IS A SIMPLE WAY AROUND SPENDING 1,500.00 DOLLARS ON THIS PROBLEMS. THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY I WON'T BUY AN AMERICAN CAR AGAIN. *TR
