Adaptive cruise control turns all Advanced Driver Assistance Systems if it does not sense that there is a vehicle ahead for a period of approx. 45 minutes. The system completely shuts down and cannot be reset manually. After approx. 45 minutes the system turns back on. This happened to me 4 times as I drove across the US. Not have any Advances Driver Assistance Systems operating for a period of 45 minutes is highly dangerous. Apparently there is a fix but it is not currently recognized by Mercedes.
