Bulletin Summary
When diagnosing a concern with the SCR system, the technician may notice crystallized DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) on the tip of the DEF injector. Crystallized DEF on the tip of the injector is a normal occurrence and does not indicate that the injector nozzle is clogged. The crystallization will dissolve when the injector is activated. Do not replace the DEF injector for the crystallization alone. Please follow Workshop Manual diagnostics to diagnose the specific condition or DTC on the vehicle.
