Bulletin Summary
Some 2021-2022 Edge vehicles may exhibit an inoperative Sirius satellite radio with audio control module (ACM) DTC B1A89:13. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) configuration. To correct the concern, download and run the APIM Programmable Module Installation (PMI) application. When the application asks Is The Original Module Installed, select NO. Once the programming completes, clear the DTCs. For claiming, use causal part 14G670 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
