Bulletin Summary
Some 2022 Ranger 4x4 vehicles built on 14-Feb-2022 and through 22-Mar-2022 may exhibit a vibration/boom noise above 50 mph (80 km/h) originating from the front of the vehicle. This may be due to an imbalanced front axle assembly. If the tires and drive shaft have been eliminated as the possible cause, inspect the front axle tag and locate the serial number. If the front axle serial number is between (XXXDRK 22041 XXXXX) and (XXXDRK 22075 XXXXX), replace the front axle with service part number KB3Z-3002-C. If not, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 100-04.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
