Bulletin Summary
Some 2011-2017 Fiesta vehicles may exhibit various concerns following IPC replacement including odometer displaying incorrect English or Metric units and/or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2101 in multiple modules. If Programmable Module Installation (PMI) has been performed on the replacement IPC, disconnect the IPC, start a new Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software (FJDS) session and perform a PMI on the IPC. Do not reconnect the IPC until after the IDS or FJDS states it is unable to communicate with the IPC, then allow the PMI process to complete. This will automatically load the correct configuration and address any related DTCs or symptoms.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
