Dealers, upfitters or bodybuilders may notice various warning lights on the dash illuminating and certain DTCs without an apparent cause during the initial installation and connection of telematics, GPS, and/or other aftermarket devices to the FMS system on certain 2022MY vehicles equipped with RPO I4H, DTCs that may occur are P1381, P1382, U2105, U1001, U0140, U0101, U0100, U0212, U0219, and U0028. These vehicles were configured with an incorrect module setup during the FMS installation at the port, which causes these lights and codes to set. Follow the service procedure below to validate that this incorrect configuration is the cause of these lights and codes and to reconfigure the Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus Interface.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
