Bulletin Summary
To check rating of lower-deck evaporator fans circuit-breakers for TDX25US coahes. On some of the TDX25US coaches the evaporator fans located in the lower deck climate control unit are protected by four 15 amp circuit breakers. Field reports have determined that at very hot operating conditions these circuit breakers trip too fast. To prevent this from happening, Van Hool is conducting a field change program by which first the rating of these circuit breakers has to be checked and, if necessary, the circuit breakers have to be replaced by 20 Amp circuit breakers according to the step-by-step instructions given in this service bulletin.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
