Bulletin Summary
Supply chain shortage notice. Model Year 2022 Freightliner, Western Star, Freightliner Custom Chassis, and Thomas Built Bus vehicles manufactured with the following engines have been built without a Particulate Matter (PM)/Soot sensor: âÃÂâDD15 Gen 5 (Gats 2.0) (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) âÃÂâDD13 Gen4 (1-box) (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) âÃÂâCummins B6.7 (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) âÃÂâCummins X15 with ratings of 400-500HP (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) As a result, the vehicle has a non-conforming On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system. The engine manufacturers will pay to install the OBD PM sensor and corresponding software through a recall once sensors become available.
