Technical Service Bulletin N26060613 — 2012 DODGE RAM 5500

New Safety Recall Advanced Communication ? N26060613 Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) announced a safety recall on certain 2012 model year (DP) 4500/5500 series RAM 4x4 Trucks. Some of the above trucks may have a front axle with improper axle tube-to-differential housing welds. If the axle tube welds fail, the front axle differential housing could rotate relative to the axle tubes. This could cause the front propeller shaft to bind up or fracture the front propeller shaft universal joint. Chrysler will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all involved vehicles to either replace the front axle or install an axle brace to prevent differential housing rotation. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established methods used in the past.
