Bulletin Summary
In certain vehicles with a 1.5L engine, it is possible the Engine Control Module (ECM) in these vehicles could set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for the engineâs high pressure fuel pump when there is no actual malfunction. If this were to occur, the vehicle could be unnecessarily placed into a reduced engine power mode. Dealers are to reprogram the ECM.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
