Bulletin Summary
SERVICE BULLETIN M1648: PAN AMERICA FUEL CAP CHANGES AND SERVICE KITS. PURPOSE: This bulletin informs dealers that these parts are now obsolete: Fuel Cap (Part No. 61000533), Locking Fuel Cap (Part No.61000616), Flange Plate (Part No. 61200068). Obsolete fuel caps and flange plates are not compatible with new ones. When replacing an obsolete fuel cap with new, the flange plate must also be replaced and vice versa. This applies to all 2021-2023 Pan America (RA 1250) and Pan America S (RA 1250S) models. Table 2 for fuel cap and flange plate kits that contain both components. When ordering, there are two types of kits: Locking Fuel Cap (Part No. 61001144), Non-Locking Fuel Cap (Part No. 61001145). NOTE: The aforementioned kits include Flange Plate (Part No. 61200115).
