Bulletin Summary
Low power and top speed reduced at low temperatures. The power reduction is due to low temperature of the drive battery cells. Summary of the available power: Between approx. 32 °F to 54 °F cell temperature: There will be limited power, the “turtle” symbol is visible in the instrument cluster until the drive battery has warmed up. Between approx. 14 °F to 32 °F cell temperature: When starting, only the drive battery with the higher State of Charge (SoC) is activated. As soon as both batteries have the same SoC, the second drive battery is switched on while driving. (As long as the SoC is not the same, the customer continues to drive with only one drive battery.) For approx. below 14 °F cell temperature: The vehicle cannot be driven because the drive batteries cannot provide enough electrical current. Note: Activation of the second drive battery at low temperatures has been improved with I level XS01-24-07-525 available with ISTA version 4.52.10 or newer. Charging power: The vehicle cannot be charged at below 32 °F cell temperature. (See owner’s manual.)
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
