Bulletin Summary
Complaint The customer may complain of the vehicle not starting after being turned off, a yellow 12v Battery Warning message in the instrument cluster and/or a CEL that upon investigation points towards one or more exhaust flaps not responding. The alternator charging management strategy in the software must be modified. Update the ME control unit software. The software should include 177021216. If the vehicle already has this software, stop and open a TIPS case. If there is no newer software available, stop and open a TIPS case. After updating a sensor rotor adaptation MUST be conducted. Once completed the vehicle can be released to the customer.
