Bulletin Summary
Certain 2022-2024MY IONIQ 5 (NE EV) and 2023-2025MY IONIQ 6 (CE EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition while driving where the 12V battery voltage drops below the operational voltage and the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) places the vehicle in “fail-safe” mode. The VCU software in this bulletin updates the maximum vehicle speeds for various levels of 12V battery voltage when the vehicle enters “fail-safe” mode.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
