SCB-001-16 A subject vehicle may exhibit an illuminated check engine lamp with DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P14BF ?EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve Controller Temperature Sensor 1, 2 Rationality. The EGR valve may falsely detect this rationality fault, causing the P14BF DTC to be set and stored in the engine ECU. Enhanced EGR valve software is available to prevent this false detection.
