Alternator Pulley Cap Failure Customer may comment on one or more of the following: ● Vehicle will not start due to a depleted battery. ● Noise heard from the engine compartment. ● Multiple indicators and messages will display on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) with no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): ● Battery Symbol. ● Service Transmission. ● Check DEF System. ● ABS Service Required. ● Service Park Brake. ● Stop/Start Unavailable "Service Battery". This bulletin involves inspecting the alternator pulley cap and, if found to be missing, replacing the alternator pulley or the alternator assembly.
