Consumer Description

AT REFUELING, VEHICLE WAS IN "NORMAL" PITCH ALINEMENT. AFTER REFUELING, AND UPON LEAVING THE SERVICE STATION, VEHICLE EXHIBITED UNUSUAL REAR END BOUNCE, AS IF SHOCK ABSORBERS WERE MISSING. AFTER TWO MILE TRIP AT CITY STREET SPEED, VEHICLE WAS PARKED. VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED THAT REAR END WAS SAGGING ABOUT SIX INCHES DOWN, OR MORE. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO DEALER (ABOUT THREE MILES) AND EXAMINED. SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT COMPRESSOR FOR LOAD LEVELING SYSTEM WAS LEAKING AND HAD FAILED. IF THIS HAD OCCURRED AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH A TOWED LOAD, I BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE.*AK
