Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that after using the remote starter to start the vehicle, the front window defroster was activated, and approximately 10 minutes later, the contact discovered that the front windshield had developed a 5-inch crack in the center of the windshield. The contact stated that moments later, while driving, the crack expanded to approximately 12-inches towards the driver’s side. The contact stated that the crack was in the direct field of view of the driver, creating a visibility hazard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 22,000.
