NHTSA Complaint #11712446 — 2013 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 70 MPH on the highway, the transmission suddenly failed and shifted from 5th gear to 1st gear, which nearly caused a crash. The dealer indicated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V075000 (Power Train). The contact reported that a new oil leak was identified while the vehicle was at the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 275,000.
