This problem triggers error messages like "Cross Traffic System/Blind Spot System Fault" in the instrument cluster, impacting safety features, with potential fixes involving harness repair, protective sheathing, or sensor replacement. My car’s wiring was corroded due to this flaw and required a repair exceeding $1,000.
