NHTSA Complaint #11708853 — 2019 FORD F-150

The 10-speed automatic transmission 10r80 on my 2019 Ford F150, experienced hard and delayed shifting, transmission slippage, noticeable loss of power, warning lights coming on and off. Not shifting into gear at all. Transmissions typically last between 150,000 to 200,000 miles, depending on how maintained and driving habits. With proper care, some transmissions can last up to 300,000 miles or more. F150 cam phaser recall affects models from 2017 to 2020, addressing issues like rattling noises and potential engine problems. I actually received this recall, and had my trucked “fixed” at the SAMES Ford in Corpus Christi TX. In late 2021 or early 2022. I was in a Ford Dealership in Redfield SD, in Jun/July 2025 and asked them to check on any recalls for my 2019 F150. I was told there was no recalls on my truck. My truck has roughly 70K miles on it. There is a service bullet 23-2123 for the transmission, and with that recall that should have fixed my truck, yet now my truck is in the shop with every problem on both the recall and the service bullet. I have to replace my transmission and the cam phasers. I have been in and out of shops trying to get this "fixed" and diagnosed since early Dec 2025.
