The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended, nearly causing a crash. The contact shifted to neutral(N), and the vehicle was pushed back to the nearby residence. The contact stated that a mobile independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle at the residence. The dealer was made aware of the failure. In addition, the contact stated that several dealers were contacted, and the contact was informed that the parts were not available for an unknown repair. The contact received a recall notification NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the parts to do the recall repair were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure because the manufacturer's contact information was inoperable. The failure mileage was approximately 68,480.
