NHTSA Complaint #11702929 — 2019 ALFA ROMEO STELVIO

The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to drive forward. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed with a failed oil solenoid and battery failure. The contact was informed that the oil solenoid and battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred a month later. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The contact was informed that the engine bolt needed to be cleaned, and the spark plugs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact researched NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel system, Gasoline); however, the parts were unavailable for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the recall. In addition, the contact was without a vehicle because of the unrepaired recall. The contact stated that the dealer never mentioned the unrepaired recall and attempted to perform a temporary repair. The contact stated that whenever the check engine warning light illuminated on Alfa Romeo vehicles, the vehicle remained undrivable until the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was undrivable and had been undriveable since June 2024. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
