NHTSA Complaint #11705167 — 2025 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE

The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact stated that after his wife unplugged the high-voltage battery charger, his wife discovered that the charging outlet was black. The contact then shut off the circuit breaker. The contact stated that the failure caused a short circuit in the circuit breaker, which required the socket and wiring to be replaced. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact had not received notification of the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
