NHTSA Complaint #11704488 — 2025 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE

The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V710000 (Electrical System) and 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 10-15 MPH and attempting to drive onto the main road, the vehicle lost drive power. The contact was able to restart the vehicle within 2 minutes and after several attempts. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon attempting to start the vehicle in the parking garage on another occasion, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the alternate battery had failed, and the contact was informed that there was no rental vehicle available. The dealer replaced the battery and informed the contact that the vehicle was repaired; however, the contact advised the dealer to keep the vehicle because he was considering other recourses due to concerns that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. Additionally, the manufacturer informed the contact that buy-back assistance could not be provided currently, and the contact was advised to consult the warranty company regarding arbitration. The failure mileage was approximately 8,200.
